Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx Announce Partnership with Wings Credit Union
January 14, 2026
MINNEAPOLIS, ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx today announced a multiyear partnership with Wings Credit Union as the official credit union of both teams.
Wings Credit Union is a trusted, community-focused organization, and this partnership reflects our shared commitment to serving the communities we represent,” said Timberwolves and Lynx CEO Matthew Caldwell. “Together, we are focused on expanding access for fans, enhancing their connection to our teams and delivering meaningful experiences while supporting initiatives that create lasting impact beyond the game.
Together, the Timberwolves, Lynx and Wings will collaborate on a community-focused initiative to support local hunger-relief efforts. As part of “Hoops for Hunger,” Wings will make a $15 donation to Every Meal for each three-point basket made by a Timberwolves player this season, already totaling more than $8,400. Every Meal is a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing food gaps faced by school-aged children. A separate community initiative will be introduced during the upcoming Lynx season.
Wings will also serve as a Lynx Changemakers partner, supporting the organization’s ongoing commitment to advancing women’s sports and driving meaningful community impact throughout the Twin Cities. The Changemakers platform is designed to go beyond traditional sponsorship by creating authentic, purpose-driven partnerships with organizations aligned in values and vision.
Minnesota is home to incredible teams and incredible communities,” said Greg Higgins, Wings Executive Vice President of Administration and General Counsel. “Partnering with the Timberwolves and Lynx is a natural fit for Wings because we share a commitment to making a difference in the communities we serve. Broadening access for our members to their favorite teams is a big part of this partnership strategy, and we’re excited to create experiences and impact that go beyond the game.”
The partnership includes a variety of integrated elements designed to connect with members and fans. Wings will serve as the Timberwolves’ official practice jersey patch sponsor, with brand visibility across team assets and a strong presence on game days and marquee events. The partnership also features Wings as the presenting partner of the Timberwolves Retail Artist Series, celebrating local artists through exclusive team-branded merchandise.

The Lynx Changemakers platform is designed to transcend traditional sponsorship and pave the way for major local companies or individuals to invest in women’s sports in a new way. By combining purpose-driven activation with direct financial support of local organizations, the Minnesota business community will have the opportunity to collectively showcase their commitment to fostering gender equity and women’s leadership through the power of sports. The team-level program is modeled after the WNBA’s successful league-level platform launched in 2020.
Wings Credit Union and Ent Credit Union united in a merger of equals Jan. 1, 2026, creating a stronger, member-focused financial cooperative serving nearly 1 million members with approximately $20 billion in assets. The combined credit union is transitioning to the Wings Credit Union name, with Ent-branded service centers continuing to serve members in Colorado during a phased brand transition.
Founded in 1938, Wings is headquartered in Apple Valley, Minnesota, and Ent, established in 1957, is headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Together, they bring complementary strengths, shared values, and a longstanding commitment to exceptional member service. Wings will operate with dual headquarters, reflecting its continued presence in both regions. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, Wings offers more than 90 service centers, robust digital banking capabilities, and a full suite of financial solutions. The credit union also invests deeply in the local communities it serves through philanthropy, education, and programs that promote long-term financial well-being. Both Wings and Ent were recognized by Newsweek as two of the best credit unions of 2026, underscoring their shared commitment to financial strength and an outstanding member experience.
Wings is an Equal Housing Lender and Equal Opportunity Lender, federally insured by NCUA. Learn more at WingsCU.com and Ent.com.
