A fresh new look for your favorite credit union.

It's the most familiar element of membership. But since the Wings logo was first designed, digital tools have become an essential part of daily life – from smartphones to social media and beyond. It was time for Wings' visual identity to better reflect the strong, bold, modern financial institution that we are today. And it was essential for our logo to work seamlessly everywhere. Here's what you can expect:

Simplified brand name

"Wings Credit Union" is short, energetic, and commonly in use already.

Retains familiar elements

To honor our legacy, the logo features blues, a prominent "W" and wing shape.

A gradual transition

Our digital channels like our website, CU Online and the Mobile App have already transitioned to the new logos. In physical spaces, we'll take a strategic, cost-effective approach.

Continue using cards & checks

Designs will be updated in early 2024 and implemented on a rolling basis with expiration dates and reorders.

Why did we change the Wings logo?

For years, Wings has been a modern credit union with an old-school logo. Now, we’re introducing a fresh, digital-friendly logo that aligns with our modern look and feel.

How was the new logo design chosen?

Choosing the new logo design is not a task we took lightly. It was important to honor the legacy of this familiar symbol. At the same time, our logo needs to work seamlessly across all channels in this digital age. We considered over 100 designs and tested our finalists with focus groups before a final decision was made.

How soon will the logo change?

Introducing the logo will be a process. Our digital channels like our website and social media have already transitioned to the new logos, but it will take longer to see it in physical signage and other locations.

Why is the Wings name different on the new logo?

We took this opportunity to shorten the name of our credit union from "Wings Financial Credit Union" to “Wings Credit Union” with the new logo design. Most of our members already use “Wings” when referring to the credit union, so it made sense to simplify and remove “Financial”.

What about my Wings debit, credit and ATM cards?

Cards will be updated in early 2024 and implemented on a rolling basis.

What about my checks?

You can continue to use the checks you have since the Wings routing number and your account number will not change. Check designs will be updated and be available to order in 2024.

When will the signage change on branches?

Changes to physical pieces like branches and signage will take some time, but we anticipate updates to be made to our branches in 2024. When possible, we will be implementing the new logo with branch and facility remodels.
